Abstract

Feyz Kashani is one of the famous Shiites and productive thinkers who created a new method in Akhbariness and institutionalized the Akhbari method with its esoteric tendencies and teachings, and the method of hermeneutics. He has special views and opinions, contrary to the well-known jurists. Equating the jurisprudential fatwas of Feyz and Mohaghegh shows the fact that he was influenced by the thoughts and methods of Mohaghegh Ardabili. He followed the specific style of Mohaghegh Ardabili, in the position of inferring and interpreting Quran verses and Hadiths. In the present article, we attempted to find out several individual and infamous fatwas of these two great jurists, who had the same point of view. Then, the factors which have caused the influence of Feyz Kashani from Mohaghegh Ardabili are identified. Finally, it has become clear that Feyz Kashani has followed Ijtihad method of Mohaghegh Ardabili, by relying on religious principles and rules, including the principle of ease, the principle of permission, and the rule of exclusion.
