Abstract

The circumambulation of the Kaaba is one of the important pillars of the Abrahamic Hajj, the manner in which it is performed can overshadow the authenticity of the Hajj. Therefore, it is very important to perform this element correctly. Now, one of the issues that are raised in relation to Tawaf is the relevance or non-relevance of the approach in performing it. In other words, one of the issues raised in this chapter is the components or lack of components of Tawaf Raqib. Of course, the point of discussion is related to the assumption that such circumambulation is performed voluntarily and without excuse. What is obtained from the examination of jurisprudential texts is the conflict of different opinions on this issue, in such a way that the authenticity of this circumambulation is basically doubtful. This is despite the fact that in the recent Hajj, we witness an example of the said circumambulation. From this point of view, due to the considerable research gap in this debate, it is necessary to explain the verdict of this issue. Therefore, the present research has investigated the components of voluntary circumambulation of the rider in a descriptive-analytical way. The findings of the research indicate that riding circumambulation is an example of circumambulation; Therefore, according to the atke mamurbah in Tawaf, it is performed by oneself and without excuse, one cannot consider Tawaf by the rider to be voluntary and obligatory.
