Abstract
The inference of the fivefold rulings and certain deduced subjects is among the most significant responsibilities of religious scholars. The ruling on the desirability of abandoning a disapproved act (makruh) and the disapproval of abandoning a recommended act (mustahabb) has been a matter of contention among religious thinkers. This work, conducted through a descriptive-analytical method and utilizing library resources, examines two key issues: the concomitance of "abandoning a recommended act with disapproval" and "abandoning a disapproved act with desirability" from the perspective of religious scholars, while addressing the arguments supporting various viewpoints in this regard. The author has endeavored to avoid reiterating commonplace arguments and to open a new perspective in examining diverse viewpoints. The results of the analysis of the presented arguments indicate that the view denying the desirability of abandoning a disapproved act, as well as opinions for and against the disapproval of abandoning a recommended act, lack sufficient robustness. In contrast, the arguments supporting the desirability of abandoning a disapproved act possess greater validity and strength.
