Semantic methods in conceptualization of theories are among contemporary standard and acceptable methods. The present article intends to trace back the semantic course of falāḥ (salvation) before and after the appearance of Islam through identifying the historical and linguistic application of the word falāḥ which is strongly related to the most important concerns of human beings (i.e., redemption). In This way, the article seeks to achieve a deeper understanding of the meaning of falāḥ and by examining its applications in religious contexts to find its relevant constituent elements and to show the fate of those who have attained it.
